Mostly just practice rendering though. If anyone would like to tell me how to make the shiny-glassy bit more shiny and glassy I would be much obliged. :)

What program did you make this in? There are tons of online tutorials for glass, but most of them are program-specific. A tutorial on traditional rendering might give a good basis regardless of program, though.
